The Association for the Blind of Western Australia produces books and other materials in a wide range of accessible formats. We are able to convert into Braille or the DAISY digital talking book format, items that you provide as either computer files, printed books and other materials, or existing recordings including analogue tapes.
Charges for this service apply to any non-client of the Association. Prices are in U.S. Dollars, are based on the number of print pages, the format in which we receive the materials and whether the complexity of the content requires special handling for example, technical materials such as maths and chemistry or whether the item is in a language other than English.
Charge indications are listed below; they are based on standard A4 print pages in 12 point font, single line spacing. Essentially, the more automated the process, the lower the price. For example, the most cost-effective option is to provide the item for conversion in editable electronic format for output in electronic format.
